This is the blog documenting my NaNoWriMo novel, November 1-30, 2005. Last year's novel was: Bibliomorph.
The last few thousands words aren't all coming out in order, so I'm opting to wait until tomorrow and then post the finale all at once. Hopefully I'll manage to wrap everything up pretty quickly. If there are any miscellaneous loose ends you particularly want to have tied up, let me know and I'll try not to forget them. :-)

Jaden Sands: 25 years old, working at a tech company in Mountain View (no, not that one). Pastimes include dancing and recovering mysteriously disabled limbs (his own).
Gordon Ross: 14 years old, lives in Edinburgh. His life made difficult by school, unrequited crushes and possessed stuffed animals. You know, the usual teenage issues.
Julian P. Oddbury: One of Jaden's neighbors and retired oneironaut.
Malcolm: A very minor and worried demon.
Ixy: A toy cat. But don't let that fool you.
Zoe: A channel. Also an excellent dancer.

Mmph. That was roughly the equivalent of stopping just short of running into a wall. Oh well, I'll just be sure to be up a bit earlier tomorrow morning to read the double portion. Looking forward to it. :) My roommate, who is doing nnwm also, says you have to be careful to submit the story before the beginning of December in GMT, or else (apparently) it won't count. Maybe you knew that already? As for my pet loose ends, I'd like to see Elisa get her comeuppance, and if there's any more explanation as to why it was Ixy that Malcolm's dreamform chose, it would be interesting to read it. Ancient magic inside the stuffing or whatever.
Dang, I had completely forgotten Elisa. Don't know if I'll be able to work her back in or if she's too far gone for the rest of the story already. And I don't really know the answer about Ixy. We'll see if I can think of anything to squeeze in.
According to the NaNoWriMo site, validation cuts off according to GMT-12 (Howland Island time, it says, apparently somewhere way out in the Pacific). So if anything, I actually have a few extra hours. I hope not to use them, though.
